Putting Nature Back at the Center; Art in Nature VI

For the past six years, this exhibition has stemmed from the desire to open the Museum to the outside world and to create a dialogue between art and nature, between emotion and knowledge, between contemplation and awareness.

The works gathered in this edition share a special sensitivity toward life. They are diverse perspectives, from different places and backgrounds, united by a same certainty: nature is not something separate from us; it is our origin, our sustenance, and our future.

This year, the pieces envelop us in an atmosphere of transparency, light, and delicacy. As if reminding us that there is beauty even in fragility, and in beauty, a powerful call to care. Because without nature, we are nothing. And perhaps protecting it begins, simply, by looking at it again.

Art in Nature VI

From the iconic Cantabria Museum of Nature, we present the sixth edition of the exhibition, once again bringing together Art + Nature.

It features fifteen artists from different parts of the world who work with diverse artistic languages and who, through their works, share the magic they have found in nature.

Once again, thanks to the residents of Carrejo, who have offered their houses, the village joins the exhibition with its stone walls steeped in history and presence.

The exhibition comprises photographs, performances, installations, drawings, paintings, prints, sumi-e, collages, and mixed media.

The artists have dazzled us with their images. They are geometries of eternal ice and fascinating encounters with southern right whales in Antarctica; imagined dialogues with friendly fungi and jellyfish from distant oceans.

They played on cliffs of wildflowers, danced on the grass, and literally have transformed into pure green.

They dialogued with the sand, with the earth, with the trees, with the light, and with the sea... Earthpigments, watercolors, acrylics, pastels, and charcoal.

Ochres, lilacs, and reds. Leaves and fallen leaves, branches, bark, natural fibers and pulp.

They gift us their visions, their passions, and their love for nature.

We invite you to explore these magnificent works, which bring us a little closer to our beloved Nature.
