Art in Nature V
We are proud to present this fifth edition of Art in Nature, comprised of 68 works by 24 artists who are showing their work for the first time in the Museum and its surroundings to honor and commemorate nature.
These artists are from different generations, backgrounds, and cultures who work in the natural world. They are Cantabrian artists and artists from different countries who have come specifically to Cantabria to develop their work in this magical land.
The beauty and quality of the works, combined with each artist's commitment to our habitat, confirms that this is the way forward... art helps us spread the word, understand, and love nature.
Only love for our space will allow us to care for and protect it... save it.
The preservation, dissemination, and care of nature is the is the reason for being of the Cantabrian Nature Museum, and the works presented in this Fifth Edition honor it and share, from an aesthetic and emotional perspective, its mission: to preserve and safeguard nature, of which we are, without a doubt, a part.

We take the Museum to the streets
The objective of this proposal is clear: to open the museum to the street, proposing a different vision of nature through different artistic forms, which bring us closer, in an alternative way, to this biological reality.
Science and nature are not just abstract concepts to observe from the outside. They can also be a feeling. And that is what museums must take care of, provoking the visitor reflections, feelings and thoughts through our exhibitions. Continuing this line of action, the exhibition curated by SM PRO ART is framed, where we are offered an interesting story of the relationship between nature and art, where we talk about a proposal for the street, outside the Museum rooms, in which to enjoy an exhibition of photographs of works made in nature by artists who have focused their works on feeling and a very personal interpretation of the natural environment.
In this way, we want to transmit to all the people who visit us a shared passion for our nature.
